Influence of berry size and irrigation on anthocyanins and tannins

This is a summary of the article: Roby, G., Harbertson,J., Adams,D., and Matthews, M. Berry size and vine water deficits as factors in winegrape composition: anthocyanins and tannins. Australian J. Grape And Wine Research, 2004, 10:100-117. The authors studied the effects of berry size and of berry water deficit, independently of each other and also together, on the amount of anthocyanin and tannin in the berries, both as a concentration and as whole-berry content. The findings complement a previous article by several of the authors.
