Backups, Diskette and Hard Disk Information
- You are responsible for keeping backups of your files on your own media. Work saved on the local hard drive or the server, may be deleted at any time and without notice so it is essential that you keep backup copies of your work.
- The computer lab does not sell or loan out flash drives. You can purchase flash drives at the UCD Bookstore. Bring in your own flash drive to save your work.
- You may use the local hard disk to copy files as long as it is 1) legally licensed and does not violate Computer Use Policy, and 2) does not alter the computer configuration.
- Be sure to save your files often and before you log off the computer. Your work is deleted from the local hard drive when you log off.
