Hilgard631, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, makes it possible for the UC Davis Department of Viticulture & Enology to share student-made wine with the public. Every bottle sold funds student scholars.
Hilgard631 wines are made in the UC Davis LEED Platinum Teaching and Research Winery from grapes grown by students, staff and faculty. The spirit of Hilgard631 comes to life in our VEN 127L course, where students spend a quarter turning their knowledge into a real-world product. From blending to bottling and label design, Aggies work in teams—consulting with industry experts—to craft their own wines.
With Hilgard631, V&E furthers our mission of uniting a diverse community of faculty, staff and students around the knowledge and education required to produce exceptional wine.
