Comparison of various indicators of plant water stress

These Suisse authors studied the ability of various plant physiological measurements (leaf water potential, carbon isotope discrimination, tranpirable soil water) to estimate plant water status on various terroirs. They found that leaf water potential provided the most reliable estimations.
