Berry temperature and solar radiation alter anthocyanin populations in Merlot

In a paper that earned them the "2009 Best Paper in Viticulture" award from the American Society for Enology and Viticulture, these researchers from USDA-Agricultural Research Service and North Carolina State University modified the environment of berries to learn about the separate effects of light and temperature on anthocyanin biosynthesis.
