These researchers asked themselves, "if we sort Spanish white wines based on their aroma, will the veriety they are made out of get sorted in the same way?". They found that the answer was "No". The exceptions were Verdejo and Sauvignon blanc, who invariably left a similar signature in the resulting wines. This study is very intersting because of the original method Dr. Vicente Ferreira and team used to generate wine sensory profiles.
