The Department of Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis will be celebrating the academic career of Andy Walker on May 19, 2022, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a seminar and reception honoring Andy, at the UC Davis Conference Center.
On Tuesday, May 3rd from 2-3 pm PT, the Department of Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis will present “Office Hours with Dave and Anita, Episode 20: Identifying and mitigating spring frost damage in vineyards.”
On March 16, 2022, the UC Davis Department of Viticulture and Enology Extension Team will host a Grapevine Red Blotch Disease Symposium. This event will be presented both in person at the UC Davis Conference Center and livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
Dr. Anita Oberholster, Associate Cooperative Extension Specialist in Enology, will discuss harvest readiness in times of wildfires. She will then answer questions from attendees.
The Winery Regulations seminar will give an overview of and updates from four specific regulatory agencies and their applications to the wine industry.
Dr. Kaan Kurtural, Cooperative Extension Specialist, Viticulture and Dr. Andy Walker, Professor, will discuss and answer questions about Fire Damage in the Vineyard: Assessment, Recuperation, and Fruiting in subsequent seasons.
