Job Title: 2025 Harvest Internship Position

Job Description: Vineyard 29, a highly acclaimed estate winery located in St. Helena, Napa Valley, and home to a Robert Parker Jr. 100 point rated Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, is seeking a highly motivated, energetic Harvest Intern to join us in 2025.
Reporting to the Assistant Winemaker, this position requires a team player approach and an enthusiastic personality to accommodate an often fast-paced environment. We specialize in crafting ultra-premium wines from carefully selected vineyards in the Napa Valley, including our estate owned ranches focused within the Saint Helena AVA. Interns will work intimately with the winemaker and cellar team and will be involved in all aspects of wine production. Compensation ranges from 22-$26/hour BOE and includes overtime.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Grape sampling
• Tank and crush equipment set up and sanitation
• Grape receiving, processing, and sorting with state of the art equipment including optical sorters
• Pressing
• Inoculations
• Nutrient additions
• Red and white fermentation monitoring
• Pumpovers and punchdowns
• Drain and press operations
• Barrel preparation
• Barrel racking and filling
• Barrel topping
• Basic analysis with in-house lab equipment
Qualifications include:
• General knowledge of wine making equipment and practices
• Willingness to learn
• Advanced level of cleanliness
• Ability to adapt and adjust plans on the fly
• Ability to problem solve in stressful situations
• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs on a daily basis in temperatures ranging from under 55 and over 90
• Attention to detail
• Great attitude and work ethic
• Willingness to work long hours on your feet, 6 days a week
• Able to perform physical labor required for all cellar work
• Able to follow written and oral instruction
• Previous harvest experience desired but not necessary
