Job Title: Harvest Cellar Worker

Job Description: Long Meadow Ranch has an exciting opportunity to join the winemaking team as a Harvest Cellar Worker. Long Meadow Ranch is a family-owned and operated producer and purveyor of world-class wine and food that is economically successful and socially responsible using diversified, sustainable, and organic farming methods. Long Meadow Ranch produces award-winning wines, handcrafted extra virgin olive oils, grass-fed beef, eggs, and heirloom fruits and vegetables.
We are seeking a Harvest Cellar Worker to join the wine production team for Harvest 2025. This is a temporary position expected to begin in August or September and end at the completion of Harvest (including Olives) in November or December, depending on the season. The Harvest Cellar Worker will work closely daily with our small team, including the winemakers.
Responsibilities
Operate crush equipment and sort fruit
Complete barrel cleaning, stacking and filling
Perform Cap management
Operate the press
Complete Juice/wine transfers
Assist with additions and inoculations
Assist with daily brix and temperature measurements
Complete equipment sanitation and cleaning
Education, Experience and Required Skills
Previous winery production experience preferred, but not required
Must work consistent with LMR’s core values: Balance, Respect and Stewardship
Must be able to remain positive, detail-oriented and energetic in the face of long hours
Must be able to follow written and oral English instructions
Must be able to work rotating shifts, long hours and most weekends in a fast-paced environment
Must strictly follow the company Preparedness Plan and Safety protocols
A pre-employment background report and pre-employment physical are required
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 75+ pounds
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to climb up and down stairs
Must be able to work in confined/restricted working environment
Must be able to use both hands to handle, grasp, move and control objects, tools and equipment operations
Must be able to bend or twist body
Must be able to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Compensation
This is a temporary, hourly position to begin in August or September and ends at the completion of Harvest 2025
The Company reasonably expects to pay in the range of $20.00 to $25.00 for this position. Of course, this is depending on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, and business or organizational needs. This wage range may be modified in the future.
