Job Title: Bottling QC and Lab Tech
Job Type: Seasonal
Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to work in our in-house wine lab and bottling line to assist with quality control. Responsibilities include regular quality control checks on the bottling line: labels, corks, capsules, etc., as well as periodic lab analysis on bottled wine. You will work closely with the Laboratory Director and bottling line operators to ensure all points on the bottling line are functioning properly and efficiently.
Secondary responsibilities include other lab work: pulling samples, setting up tasting trials, running analysis such as free sulfur, volatile acidity, and more.
Tertiary responsibilities could include cellar work and assisting the winemaker.
You must be able to climb stairs and ladders, lift 50 pounds, and be on your feet for most of the day. Reliable transportation is required.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
•Detail-oriented
•Self-motivated
•Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
•Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
•Basic computer skills
