Job Title: Harvest intern
Job Type: Seasonal
Job Description: Applicants should be detail oriented, dependable, works well with others, and used to hard work. Good communication skills and the willingness to perform physically demanding tasks for long hours are also required.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
Crushpad work (fruit processing, cleaning crushpad equipmet, etc.)
Fermentation management (pumpovers/punchdowns, yeast/nutrient additions, sampling)
Daily fermentation monitoring (brix, temperature, and sensory evaluation)
Pressing, including “digging” tanks and cleaning equipment
Barrel work including topping, racking, and cleaning
Lab anyalysis (Brix, free SO2, pH, and TA)
Requirements:
Physically able to climb ladders and steps, be on your feet for extended periods of time in an environment that can be hot, cold, and wet
Can lift 50 lbs
Follow safety protocol, good housekeeping practices, and standard operating procedures
Follow verbal and written instructions
Work extended hours on limited notice during the height of crush
Willing to work long hours
Must be authorized to work in the US
Fluent in English, Spanish not necessary but a plus
