Evaluating the Impact of Grape Smoke Exposure: Best practices

Smoke in the Vineyard

Event Date

Location
UC Davis Conference Center

Please join us for an On Campus extension program that will focus on the very important topic of grape smoke exposure. The program will focus on sharing what is known about this issue, scientifically, and current recommended best practices. Several tastings will be conducted, the first of which will train attendees on how to set up sensory evaluations for smoke taint. The two tastings that follow will be actual training and evaluation sessions. The final session of the day will be a panel of winemakers who will share their experiences evaluating grape smoke exposure impact and conducting trials to make the best possible wines. We look forward to robust discussions and sharing of ideas.
