| Job Description | Alexana Estate Vineyards and Winery is seeking experienced interns to join our winemaking team for the 2013 harvest. Ideal candidates will be energetic, dependable, passionate about making world class wines, will have worked at least one or more harvests, and will have or be pursuing an enology and viticulture degree (or other applicable degree). Job duties will include grape receiving, sorting, crushing, pressing, rackings, pomace-transfers, juice and must additions, inoculations, punchdowns, barrel prep/filling, winery sanitation, and other general winery operations. Candidates must be flexible to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly. The following internships are available:(1)Vintage Assistant Winemaker: June-Dec, (1)Lab Intern: July-Dec, (4-5)Cellar Interns: Sept-Nov Qualified candidates are requested to submit a cover letter and resume to bryan@alexanawinery.com.
