Smoke Taint in Grapes and Wine

When:

Monday Aug 31st 2009

Where:

RMI Silverado Sensory Theater, UC Davis campus

What:

The UC Davis Department of Viticulture & Enology is very proud to announce that we will be hosting a public lecture to be given by one of the world's leading experts on "smoke taint", Dr Kerry Wilkinson. Dr Wilkinson, who is at the University of Adelaide, has been studying the exposure of grapevines to smoke from wildfires in Australia in affiliation with a group called the Western Australia Smoke Taint Work Group, and with other government and University colleagues for the past several years. This is a great opportunity for those of you impacted by smoke taint to learn the most recent research results and ask any questions you may have concerning your own experiences.
The seating is very limited in the Sensory Theater, so we can only accept the first 50 respondents to this notice. We're sorry for the short notice, especially at this time of the year, but we know you'll be glad you found the time to attend, if you choose to do so.
To register, go to the event registration page at http://ucce.ucdavis.edu/survey/survey.cfm?surveynumber=3991
Important: Because of the limited seating, we will NOT be able to admit anyone who hasn't registered in advance through this site. You can print your completed registration form as proof of enrollment in Dr Wilkinson's seminar, and bring it with you. The registration will be closed after 50 respondents have signed up.
