We've Moved into the New LEED-Platinum Teaching & Research Winery

Chik Brenneman and crew have moved into the new LEED-Platinum winery on the grounds of the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science at UC Davis.  As a matter of fact, our Fall VEN124 class was able to do their entire 2010 harvest at this amazing facility.  As the first winery to earn the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification, our Teaching and Research Winery is state-of-the-art: we foresee it becoming a global center for wine education, especially in sustainable practices.  We will welcome both students enrolled at UC Davis, who will now have a fully certified venue in which to practice and enhance their skills, and members of the international wine industry, who will be able to get first-hand experience in construction and production practices in a completely carbon-zero environment.
