The University has a new Special Event Parking System online. The Business Office contacts can reserve parking spaces, order parking permits, and request parking attendants for your event. There are a variety of parking solutions available to cater to your specific needs.

Please plan ahead for your special event parking permits. Permits need to be ordered online and purchased at least a week before the scheduled event or a late fee of $20.00 will be charged to your account.

We need the following information in order to order your permits: Date and Day(s) of Event, Event Title, Parking Lot Number, Type of Event and any Special Instructions and How many parking spaces do you want to reserve, Event Start Time, and Event End Time, Account Number to charge with approval.

PARKING SPECIAL EVENT TYPES:

Reserved Parking: Choose this option if you want to reserve a specific number of parking spaces in a particular lot. This option is recommended for small events where the approximate number of people who are attending is known. The cost is $7.00 per space plus a $30.00 setup fee.

Conference Permits: These permits are intended for distribution by you to your guests. The cost is $6.00 per permit plus a $20.00 permit preparation fee. This option is recommended for large conferences where the expected turnout is unknown. These permits are designed to provide parking for one to ten sequential days.

Conference Permits with Parking Attendant(s): If you want to request that attendant(s) be available to distribute your conference permits at the first entrance, and then you should choose this option. The cost is $6.00 per permit, a $20.00 permit preparation fee, $10.00 per hour per attendant (plus one additional hour for preparation and completion per attendant), and a $20.00 administrative fee.

Attendant Assisted Event Parking: This option is for those who wish to request parking attendant(s) to distribute special event permits to their guests. The department will be billed for both the parking attendant(s) and the permits that are distributed. The charge for the parking attendant(s) is $10.00 per hour per attendant (plus one additional hour for preparation and completion per attendant) with a $20.00 administrative fee. The charge for the permits is $6.00 per permit plus a $20.00 permit preparation fee.

Parking Attendant Only: Choose this option if you would like parking attendants to staff the parking lots at your event. If your event takes place Monday through Friday, these attendants would SELL permits to your guests. If your event falls on a Weekend or Holiday when no permits are required, the attendants would simply be available to direct traffic and answer questions. The department will be charged $10.00 per hour per attendant (plus one additional hour for preparation and completion per attendant) with a $20.00 administrative fee. This is a good option for departments who want to pass the cost of parking on to their guests, or want the added customer service of a parking attendant so that their guests don't have to deal with permit dispensing machines.
