Irrigation effects on proportions of berry seed, skin and flesh
This is a review of a recent article: Matthews, M; Roby, G. 2004. Relative proportions of seed, skin and flesh, in ripe berries from Cabernet Sauvignon grapevines grown in a vineyard either well irrigated or under water deficit. Austr. J, Grape & Wine Res. 10:74-82. In this article, the authors classify Cabernet Sauvignon berries into 6 size categories before studying the impact of three different irrigation regimes on berry size, amount of skin and amount of seed.
