UCD Vineyards

The UCD vineyard is located 1 mile to the west of the UC Davis main campus. It is used as an instructional resource for several department classes. It is also used as a research facility for the study of trellising, pruning, cultivating, and other viticultural practices.
The teaching vineyard is also the home of the Winkler Vine, a massive example of the Mission cultivar. Planted in 1979, it spans over 1/12 acre and has produced upwards of 1.5 tons of fruit per year.
