We are a small operation that owns and farms 2 properties in Occidental, CA on the Sonoma Coast. Our winery is based in Forestville where we produce, as well as custom crush a total of +/- 50 tons annually, primarily Pinot Noir & Chardonnay. Our team is small and we expect each person to participate in all aspects of production. We value hard work, a sense of humor, drive, and forward thinking.

Job Description Position:

We are looking to hire a full-time, salaried person for a dynamic and unique position on our team. We recognize the need for support to help carry out and organize our winery and enological work. The core responsibilities would be focused around cellar and lab work. However, in being a small team we are also expecting to find someone who is comfortable in completing a wide range of tasks that are on the peripheral of the core duties. There is an opportunity to be involved in many aspects of our business.

Lab and Cellar Responsibilities:
• General cellar tasks (additions, topping, racking, transferring etc)
• Giving direction in cellar to ensure protocols are carried out
• Ensuring that cellar is cleaned and maintained to company standards
• Ordering and maintaining appropriate stock of winery supplies and materials
• Organizing and scheduling production schedule
• Collecting, analyzing and recording lab samples
• Communicating and flagging problematic Vessels
• Stocking and organizing laboratory materials
• Installing and implementing software for wine records and compliance

General and Peripheral Responsibilities:
• Host tastings when schedule allows
• Fulfilling order shipments when compliance house is unable to
• Assistance with vineyard work and data collection

• Extensive experience and skills in a cellar and/or laboratory position
• Education in Viticulture and Enology or related subject
• Strong sense of organization and workflow
• Extensive understanding of winery safety and sanitation
• Willingness to work long hours
• Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license
