Employment End Date Approximately December 31st
Job Description Groth Vineyards & Winery is seeking harvest interns for the 2018 vintage. Job duties will include: general cellar work, sanitation, grape processing, fermentation monitoring, wine movements (rackings & transfers), tank additions & inoculations, pump-overs, barrel work, filtration, and more. The duration of the position will be approximately from mid-August through the end of the year, depending on the timing of the harvest (6 mo. max duration). Starting and ending dates are flexible, mid-July at the earliest (bottling). Wage based on experience. Housing is NOT provided. All transportation is the sole responsibility of the applicant.

Qualifications should include:
- General knowledge of winemaking practices
- Minimum of one harvest previous experience is required
- Degree in or current study of Enology and Viticulture (or related field)
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs on a routine basis
- Able to perform physical labor involved in cellar work
- Willingness to work long variable hours, 6 days a week
- Clean drivers license (background check required before hire)
- Strong verbal and written English skills

Other Information An earlier start date is available for those applicants interested in assisting with our summer bottling run. A longer term position is also available for applicants interested in assisting us with post harvest cellar work.
