Job Description This is a multifaceted position involving a variety of duties mostly within the lab (90%) and some work in the cellar (10%)

Analysis of grape, must, and wine composition
Fermentation monitoring, nutrient and yeast additions
Accurate record keeping and some data entry
Making reagents and buffers, reagent standardization
Calibrating laboratory equipment
Bench top trials
Assisting with punchdowns and digouts
Helping with bottling QC

Laboratory Analysis Includes:
pH, TA, Alcohol, CO2 and DO, Free and Total SO2 by Autotitrator, VA by Cash Still, RS, ML, NOPA and Ammonia by spectrophotometry.

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, dependable, self-motivated, and very detail oriented. This person will be required to perform efficiently in a wine production environment, possess physical dexterity, stand for long periods of time, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs periodically. This position will include overtime and weekend work as necessary during peak harvest times. We will work 6 days/week from early September to November (harvest dependent). Some laboratory knowledge and winery experience is required.
