Company Description Nickel & Nickel Winery is dedicated to producing ultra-premium single vineyard, single varietal wines from the Napa Valley. We produce 20 single vineyard wines from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Chardonnay grapes. Our winery size is small and each lot is harvested and fermented separately, allowing an intern to learn and experience many aspects of winery production. We are looking for someone who is hard-working, enthusiastic and eager to work with a great team.

Job Description We are looking to hire a Lab intern for the 2017 harvest. The intern will assist the Enologist with all the lab analysis and quality control for the winery. Duties in the lab will include but are not limited to: grape maturity analyses, pulling samples, pH TA and enzymatic analyses for various juice, must and finished wine samples, lab and cellar sanitation, Brix/temp monitoring, data collection and recording, as well as various quality control measures before, during and after harvest. There will be times when the lab is slow and the intern will be able to help in the cellar. Cellar duties can include pump overs, grape processing, sorting as well as barrel work.

The ideal candidate is hard-working, reliable and possesses a strong attention to detail. A positive attitude, willingness to work long hours and the ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment are necessary. We are looking for someone who has strong organizational and time management skills.
