Title Assistant Winemaker/Cellar Hand

Company Description A.P. VIN, an ultra-premium producer of single vineyard pinot noir in San Francisco, CA, is looking for a Harvest Cellarhand to work from mid-August, into possibly November in ALL areas of the winery cellar. This position may include working late nights, early mornings and/or weekends to accommodate harvest. The ability to work flexible hours is required.

Job Description • You should have strong cellar skills.
• Have a strong work ethic and “team” attitude with good interpersonal skills. Flexibility is a must!
• Be able to follow SOPs and verbal instructions
• Be able to run basic wine analysis (Brix, temp., pH, TA)
• Experience with sanitation, forklift operation, and racking, topping, transferring juices and wines from tanks/barrels
• Duties will include fruit sorting, punch downs, monitoring fermentations, and all aspects of premium winemaking
• Keen attention to detail, reliability, consistency and organization
• Passionate about premium winemaking
• Valid U.S. or Intl. Driver’s License
• Wine knowledge preferred
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects
• Flexible harvest schedule including weekends, early mornings and evenings.
