Company Description Downeast Cider House is a winery/distillery based in Boston. We specialize in making hard cider, but a different style of hard cider, unfiltered hard cider. The fact we’re making a different style of hard cider than all the others you’ve seen out there has allowed us to grow quickly in our five years of existence. Last year, we produced 25,000 BBLs or 344,000 cases. We just moved into a new facility, complete with a beautiful lab. We’re completely owned by three guys who work in the company everyday and are looking to become the largest independently owned hard cider company in the United States.

Job Description He or she will be knowledgeable in all aspects on winemaking. Pulling samples from finished and fermenting cider to test for pH, brix, SO2, NTUs, CO2, dissolved oxygen, TA, VA, and anything else will be a regular (but, possibly delegated) aspect of the position. Improvement of current practices is expected. Simply put, the position is responsible for the quality of the cider being produced and packaged at Downeast Cider House.
