The E-commerce team is looking for a Wine Associate to support all aspects of wine production and sourcing, necessary to deliver our customers world-class wine each month. This role will assist the Winemaker and Wine Sourcing Manager in wine production, including logistics, importation, dry goods procurement, bottling, compliance and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in food and wine, and an adaptable and results driven attitude.

Job Description About the role:

Support the wine sourcing team to ensure on time and high-quality completion of monthly bottlings.

Update and maintain bottling schedules for the APs to ensure timely delivery to customers and adherence to all terms agreed to with vendor partners.

Support the Wine Sourcing Manager to ensure timeliness and accuracy of ordering, transportation and verified receiving of wines in bulk and bottling dry goods to successfully achieve the required bottling dates (including procurement and filing of BOLs of all relevant paperwork).

Ensure all bottling dry goods received are verified against POs in NetSuite, are in appropriate quantities needed for bottling and are assigned an appropriate part number for bottling product build and costing.

Ensure all transportation, receiving, pre-bottling, bottling and post-bottling paperwork is in place in time to hit all operational needs (COLA, AP, dba and licensing, new vendor setup, NDA, importation documents, Cellar and bottling work orders, wine safety and quality standards testing and auditing results).

Manage wine production processes to ensure timeliness and quality of all deliverables, and work in conjunction with process owners proactively to ensure successful outcomes.

Maintain official AP inventory documents (internal filing of 702s, e.g.) and perform periodic, timely and accurate dry goods physical inventories to match against electronic records, in partnership our Compliance Analyst. Adjust inventory levels in NetSuite as required.
Report production throughput, down time, and production status in a timely manner to the Winery Operations Manager.

Develop reports to track and advance operations metrics related to logistics and bottling activities.

Research and record/document all relevant wine-related information (including composition, appellation of origin, vineyard sourcing, brand story, artwork and font files, etc...) as soon as possible after a particular wine of interest has been identified.

Fully understand our winery operating model and use data to identify areas where we can improve business decisions

Other Information Requirements:

2 years of experience required in wine purchasing and logistics.

A bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance

Excel (required) and advanced computer skills.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage independent timelines and weekly/monthly tasks with limited oversight.

A self-starter who can power through ambiguity and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.

Wine importing experience preferred.
