Job Description
Pellegrini Harvest Internship offers an opportunity to work as an integral part of a small team focused on small-lot, hand-crafted wine production techniques. Harvest Interns work closely with the Winemaker in carrying out a variety of hands-on winemaking tasks, including (but not limited to): fruit sampling, grape processing, yeast inoculations, fermentation additions, punchdowns, juice racking, barrel filling, barrel stirring and topping. These daily tasks will be performed around a core of cleaning duties, preceded and followed by more cleaning. All harvest interns will receive training and certification in forklift operation.

We are looking for people with a passion for wine and great enthusiasm for crafting wines of exceptional quality. The ideal candidate will have prior harvest experience, but enthusiastic applicants without direct cellar experience are encouraged to apply. What we do require, above all else, is a positive attitude. Additional job requirements include effective and respectful communication skills, keen attention to detail, dependability, sense of urgency, ability to work well within a team, ability to embrace the Zen of repetition, willingness to work hard, get dirty and wet, and clean scrupulously. We value a sense of humor and a diverse playlist.

Applicants should be prepared to work a variable schedule and extended hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Interns must be able to perform strenuous physical tasks, such as bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders.

J-1 Visa must be secured by non-U.S. citizens.
